25 Pounder Short Guns Restoration

OEM Engineering Pty Ltd was commissioned by Kingston City Council to restore two 25 pounder short guns.

The restoration work by OEM Engineering was completed in November 2008, and the guns are now on show in Main Street, Mordialloc.

Following restoration, it is expected that these guns will be able to tolerate the weather and sea air for a good many years before any more work is required.

The scope of works included:

• Dismantle
• Sand blast
• Replace parts that could not be saved
• Rust protection application
• Spray painting
• Protective coat protection
